Cleanr is a swipe-to-clean photo cleanup app for iPhone. Swipe one way to keep a photo, the other way to delete it. This page covers the most common questions; if you don't find your answer here, just email us.
Open the app and grant access to your photo library. Each photo appears as a full-screen card. Swipe right to keep it; swipe left to delete it. Tap the undo button if you change your mind on the last one. The progress bar at the top shows how many photos remain in your camera roll review.
Photos you swipe to delete are moved to the standard iOS Recently Deleted album, just like deleting from the Photos app. They stay there for 30 days, after which iOS removes them permanently. You can restore any photo from Recently Deleted within that window.
Two options:
Cleanr needs to read every photo in your library so it can show them to you, and it needs delete permission so the swipe-left gesture can move them to Recently Deleted. Cleanr never uploads your photos anywhere — see our Privacy Policy for details.
No. Cleanr remembers locally which photos you've already swiped, so each session continues where you left off. If you add new photos to your device after a session, they'll appear in your next review.
Cleanr Free lets you review unlimited photos and delete up to 25 per hour. Cleanr Pro removes the deletion rate limit so you can clean as fast as you swipe.
Sign in to the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase, open Cleanr, go to Settings → Cleanr Pro → Restore Purchases, and your Pro status will be re-applied within seconds.
Yes. The core swipe-to-clean experience works fully offline because all processing happens on-device. The only feature that needs an internet connection is loading the banner ad shown to free users.
